چکیده

Abstract In most bonding processes, an adhesive is applied to a substrate in specific pattern before the second subsequently pressed against it. During this, flows such way that, ideally, it completely fills joint. practice, however, areas with entrapped air frequently remain bonded layer. Within scope of research project, these are systematically analyzed order identify optimal initial application patterns for and geometry minimise risks. For this purpose, authors use efficient flow model, partially filled gaps model (PFGM), extended study include functionality trapped pockets. Depending on volume fractions adhesive, both phases computed. Therefore, introduced fully described, benchmarked respect its plausibility functionality, results obtained compared CFD calculation. Thereafter, openings closings pockets analyzed. Lastly, then real scenario created Hele–Shaw cell measurement. The benchmark as well comparison measurement show high potential technique.

the effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.

The significance of air pockets for modelling thermal errors of machine tools

It is well known, especially with the prevalence of compensation for geometric errors, that thermal error represents the most significant proportion of the total volumetric error of the machine tool. Thermal error in machine tools originates from changes to internal and external heat sources that vary the structural temperature of the machine tool resulting in the non-linear deformation of the ...

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

Silica nano-particle super-hydrophobic surfaces: the effects of surface morphology and trapped air pockets on hydrodynamic drainage forces.

We used atomic force microscopy to study dynamic forces between a rigid silica sphere (radius approximately 45 microm) and a silica nano-particle super-hydrophobic surface (SNP-SHS) in aqueous electrolyte, in the presence and absence of surfactant. Characterization of the SNP-SHS surface in air showed a surface roughness of up to two microns. When in contact with an aqueous phase, the SNP-SHS t...

Energy Efficient Process Heating: Managing Air Flow

Much energy is lost through excess air flow in and out of process heating equipment. Energy saving opportunities from managing air flow include minimizing combustion air, preheating combustion air, minimizing ventilation air, and reconfiguring openings to reduce leakage. This paper identifies these opportunities and presents methods to quantify potential energy savings from implementing these e...
